Cypher being chosen as a finalist for the “Environmental” category is due not only to the constant innovation we do to help solve global environmental problems but also the profound environmental benefits that our technologies provide. As a new year is now upon us, we wanted to take this opportunity to share what our focus will be for the next 12 months. As a tradition, our team gets together just before the holidays to reflect upon the past year and define our focus for the year ahead. This exercise helps us to come together as a team, and grow together as an organization. So, considering that, it was only fitting for us to use both of these results to choose our focus for 2016. Teamwork & Growth – Cypher Environmental’s Focus for 2016! As we endeavor to strengthen our relationships with our current and new distributors and customers worldwide, both aspects of this year’s focus will be critical to help further our organization and continue to deliver on our value proposition for the next 12 months. Cypher Environmental recently participated in the CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum) Trade Show and Conference to showcase the wide range of environmental mining solutions they offer. As usual, Cypher had one of the busiest booths at the show as their sustainable technologies are in high demand to help meet the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) needs of mining companies around the world. CIM is a conference largely focused on Canadian mining, but there tends to be a growing international presence as Canadian technologies continue to play a pivotal role in the advancement of green mining. So much so, that at the event, Cypher’s President, Todd Burns, was invited to speak at the upcoming CAMESE (Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export) Green Mining Innovation Action Committee workshop in Sudbury, on June 17th, 2015. Cypher Environmental’s wastewater treatment product, UltraZyme received positive reviews from College of Saint Mary Pance school in Colombia. UltraZyme wastewater treatment was used in the physical plant at the school for wastewater treatment and odour treatment purposes and achieved excellent results.
UltraZyme has been proven to be an effective solution for the treatment of oil and grease contamination. UltraZyme was the product of choice for Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, one of Malaysia’s largest solid waste management companies. For many years, the company’s grease traps and sump pits experienced high levels of oil and grease contamination. The constant level of oil and grease also contaminated the wastewater stream and became a source of bad odour. UltraZyme was able to reduce the oil and grease content of the water within one month. Visible change could be seen in the collection pits where the walls and parts were previously coated in a thick sludge. Not only was UltraZyme an effective solution, it was also an environmentally friendly choice. See the results of the leachate collection pits 2 weeks after UltraZyme application.
