Cypher creates a premium line of dust control, soil stabilization and bioremediation solutions. Cypher sets itself apart by providing unique products that are both environmentally friendly and cost effective. We help solve issues in a wide variety of applications such as road building and contaminant bioremediation.

We are seeking a reliable and highly ambitious individual to work at our head office in Winnipeg. In this role, under the supervision of the Office Administrator / Executive Assistant, you will focus on activities related to the administrative support within the company. We are looking for the placement of a confident, and self-driven person to fill this opportunity for our Winnipeg office.

Essential Position Requirements:

As an entry level employee for Cypher Environmental, you must be an adaptable, self-motivated, high-energy person with a strong work ethic and a coachable attitude. You must be a highly personable individual that has strong communication skills, charisma, and the ability to take-on special projects upon request. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently as well as in a team setting, while remaining accountable to company directives and strategic initiatives.

This is a full-time term position, commencing as soon as possible until approximately September 2018 (with possible extension).

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative assistant role
  • Experience with QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, in particular)
  • Knowledge of filing systems, both electronic and paper-based systems
  • Experience with shipping/international logistics (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and desire to learn and seek new ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to complete all tasks with keen attention to detail

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support team members or visitors as well as international delegates
  • Answer email inquiries from customers, vendors
  • Data entry into QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Prepare and/or edit forms/correspondence or documents
  • Request/receive and calculate customer quotes
  • Prepare international shipping documents
  • Arrange couriers for small and sample orders
  • Note taking at meetings
  • Special projects as assigned

This is an entry-level, full time, temporary position with the possibility of extending into a permanent position. The salary range for this position will be between $14-$18/hour, this will be based according to candidate’s experience.
